Jackson Browne, John Sebastian, Gomez, Angelique Kidjo, David Johansen, Juliette Lewis and Ian Hunter are the final additions to the upcoming The Music of the Rolling Stones tribute show. As previously reported, the multi-band event will take place at New York’s Carnegie Hall on March 13. Art Garfunkel, Steve Earle, Taj Mahal, Jackie Greene, Rich Robinson & Steve Moltiz, The Mountain Goats and members of TV on the radio are among the acts already slated to appear at the event. The 21 artists on the bill will perform the 21 songs on the Stones’ hits collection Hot Rocks 1964-1971
% of the net proceeds from the concert will be given to eight music education non-profits: The American Symphony Orchestra Music Notes, Church Street School of Music, Young Audiences, Music Unites, FIKS (Fixing Instruments for Kids in Schools); and newly added beneficiaries The Mr. Holland’s Opus Foundation, Midori and Friends, and The Center for Arts Education.
