Shortly after performing at Terrapin Crossroads’ for the third night of the venue’s soft opening, Phil Lesh made his way over to The Fillmore in San Francisco, CA to sit-in with Railroad Earth on several tunes. Lesh joined the group midway through the second set, launching into a rootsy version of “Terrapin Station,” which you can view in the video below. The group then performed the Railroad Earth number “Spring-Heeled Jack,” before debuting “Crazy Fingers” and “Box of Rain.” Members of Railroad Earth will join Lesh this evening at Terrapin Crossroads.

Earlier in the evening, Lesh performed at Terrapin Crossroads alongside his son Grahame, Jeff Chimenti, RatDog guitarist Mark Karan, Miles Schon and more. The previous night, Lesh was once again joined by his son Grahame, Tim Bluhm and Danny Eisenberg (Mother Hips), Nicki Bluhm and her band’s guitarist Derren Ney, Ross James and more. The series of casual performances lead up to the venue’s official opening on March 17.
