Replacements/ Guns N’ Roses guitarist Tommy Stinson, M Ward, Lucero, Wilco’s Pat Sansone and members of The Dunwells joined the lineup for this week’s SXSW performance of Big Star’s Third/Sisters Lovers. The performance will take place at Austin’s Paramount Theater on Thursday, March 15. The evening’s previously confirmed house band already includes Big Star drummer Jody Stephens, R.E.M. bassist Mike Mills, Let’s Active guitarist Mitch Easter, guitarist Chris Stamey and pianist Charles Cleaver. Other confirmed guests include R.E.M. guitarist Peter Buck, Tosca String Quartet and Posies members/latter day Big Star contributors Jon Auer and Ken Stringfellow.
