Live electronica group Nerve have just been added to this week’s east coast dates on DJ Shadow’s final Shadowsphere tour. The band was formed in 1998 as an extension of bandleader Jojo Mayer’s Prohibited Beatz DnB parties, held in various venues in New York through 2001. Over the last decade the band has focused their touring on Europe and Asia, however this year marks a shift in attention to North America, including having shared the bill for Break Science’s album release at Brooklyn Bowl in February. The band also plans to finish recording their as-yet untitled follow up to last year’s The Distance Between Zero And One. The Shadowsphere tour runs from The Fillmore in Silver Spring, MD on Tuesday to Toronto, ON’s Phoenix Concert Theater on Sunday, including a stop at New York’s Irving Plaza. Nerve returns to Irving Plaza exactly a month later to join Blockhead and KJ Sawka supporting Conspirator on April 28.
