The Walkmen—members of whom recently performed at Bob Weir’s TRI Studios as part of Headcount’s ‘Bridge Sessions’—will release a new studio album, titled Heaven, on June 5 via Fat Possum Records. Produced by Phil Ek (Fleet Foxes, Shins, Band of Horses), the record is the group’s sixth studio effort and comes at the follow-up to 2010’s critically acclaimed Lisbon. The group also welcomes the Fleet Foxes’ Robin Pecknold to sing on two songs on the record.

“The detachment you can feel throughout our younger records is gone,” says singer Hamilton Leithauser. “We felt like it was time to make a bigger, more generous statement.”
