Jackie Greene Rejoins Phil & Friends at Terrapin Crossroads

Phish Lesh and Friends at Terrapin Crossroads on Thursday

Phil Lesh & Friends’ extended Terrapin Crossroads opening celebration continued last night. With Warren Haynes returning to the East Coast for John Bell’s annual Hannah’s Buddies benefit show, Jackie Greene rejoined the ensemble for an extended two-set performance. The rest of Thursday’s Phil Lesh & Friends lineup remained intact: singer/guitarist Grahame Lesh, multi-instrumentalist Larry Campbell, Furthur/RatDog keyboardist Jeff Chimenti, singer Teresa Williams and drummer Jaz Sawyer. Greene and Campbell were both members of Lesh’s second longest Phil Lesh & Friends lineup in 2007 and 2008. Like many of his Terrapin Crossroads opening shows, Lesh looked to The Band for inspiration and busted into “The Weight” during his first set.

Phil & Friends will return to Terrapin Crossroads this evening.

4 nights at TC sounds awesome, Mr. Charlie! Have no doubt, TC will continue to blow minds. You might want to check out this site, it has become my main go-to for news about Terrapin Crossroads. The forums are cool, too.

I totally just got gubseoomps reading this! I’m going to my first Furthur show September 27th (2 months from today..not that I’m counting or anything:-P) and can hardly wait! I’ve heard only amazing things about the whole experience of show, not just the music but the place the music brings you to, sober or not.
