The 2012 Summer Camp Music Festival will take place as planned but without some familiar faces. moe. manager Jon Topper and Umphrey’s McGee manager Vince Iwinski will be forced to sit out this year’s event. Summer Camp Commissioner Jay Goldberg has announced a one-year suspension for both managers following their participation in a bounty program, whereby the two groups attempted to poach opposing crew members, with a cash payout offered to the person who initiated the hire. Goldberg confirmed that he has become privy to information demonstrating that while former moe. Lighting director and current Umphrey’s l.d. Jefferson Waful was the most high-profile figure involved, a variety of luthiers, furriers, masseuses, cobblers, cordwainers and culinarians have been implicated. Iwinski has indicated that he will appeal his suspension vigorously, while Topper is looking forward to a long Memorial Day weekend of barbeque and fishing on Lake Erie
