Last night, Jon Zeeman Band performed at Lake Worth, FL’s the Bamboo Room. Allman Brothers Band drummer and co-founder Butch Trucks lives in the area for part of the year and stopped by to see the show. Partway through Jon Zeeman Band’s set, he also joined the group on drums for The Allman Brothers Band classic instrumental “In Memory Of Elizabeth.” Zeeman has performed with The Allman Brothers Band and associated acts like Susan Tedeschi. Trucks will perform with The Allman Brothers Band at Live Oak, FL’s Wanee on April 20.

Funny How Butch slams Dickie Betts all the time. But continues to sponge off of his music!!

Dickey Betts is a alcoholic who can’t remember HIS own music. Its a shame because the ABB is finished as far as i’m concerned UNLESS Dickey gets it together that would get me back.Curious to read Greggs book.

I think if you’ve been playing a song for over 40 years, and were there when it was first arranged, you probably don’t think of it as someone else’s. I’m sure Butch feels like he has the right to play Liz Reed any place and any time he wants. Dickie has mostly himself to blame for being kicked out of the Allman Brothers.
