DMB, Tool. The Flaming Lips, Delta Spirit to Play River’s Edge Music Festival

Dave Matthews Band, Tool, The Flaming Lips and many other acts have been confirmed for the River’s Edge Music Festival. The eclectic fest will take place on Harriet Island, across the Mississippi River from St. Paul, Minnesota on June 23 and 24. Other acts slated to appear include: Brand New, Polica, Motion City Soundtrack, Puscifer, Coheed & Cambria, Diplo, Scissor Sisters, Datsik, MuteMath, Delta Spirit, Blaqstarr, Kinky, Mexican Institute of Sound, Civil Twilight, Quietdrive, An Horse, Gardens & Villa, AM & Shawn Lee, The Whigs, Hey Rosetta!, K-Flay and Yawn, Kids These Days, Yuna, The Rope.

The festival is billed as Tool’s only US date this year. DMB bassist Stefan Lessard—an outspoken Tool fan—first hinted at the festival in a tweet to his fans. In total, the inaugural festival will feature over 40 acts throughout four stages.

Danny Carey and Carter back to back within 24 hours? I’m jealous.

Those are two drumming gods. Too bad one of them plays with DMB.

@ Timmy, you’re so right! I feel the same way about Carter! For the record, and if whoever wrote this dig juuust a little digging, they would have seen that Tool toured at the beginning of the year…in the US. So no, it’s not their only US date this year. Can you try just a little bit to do some research before you copy and paste another sites story? Please? :shakesheadindisgust:

This festival is in my back yard, so hopefully TOOL and Flaming Lips play on the same day. Carter and Danny are arguably the two best drummers of the last twenty years. I actually used to like DMB quite a bit in the 90’s.

Talk about confusion So Dove Valley Rd is being amerend Sonoran Blvd only at the I-17 Exit. Dove Valley road will remain Dove Valley Rd in the exact location in other parts of the Valley? Is the City going to rename Dove Valley Sonoran Blvd at the other end of Cave Creek and all the way through Pima or Scottsdale Rd? The City’s current position is that Sonoran Blvd. was always supposed to end at the northern alignment (Dove Valley Road). However, the weight of evidence in the public record indicates otherwise. As indicated above the record indicates at a minimum two roads. Sonoran Blvd to the south and Dove Valley Road to the north. The City’s solution to this problem is simply renaming Dove Valley Road without significant public involvement.

I wonder why she hasn’t ofalicfily started running for Mayor yet, even though everyone expects her to and she’s already raised hundreds of thousands of dollars? Could it be because to do that she has to resign her seat on the Phoenix City Council? Could it be that she doesn’t want to do this yet because she wants to make sure that her Sonoran Blvd Switch is past the point of no return yet?

Why do we need another 6 lane fraweey going throught desert. We already have Carefree Highway that goes to Cave Creek Road. I DO NOT WANT THIS ROAD going paast my house. Is Peggy Neeley going to live here NO she is not. Does she care about the people who elected her NO SHE DOES NOT. Does she care about herself and her cronies YES SHE DOES. She has to go,
