Paul Simon Comments on Pete Fornatale’s Passing

Paul Simon has released an official statement on the passing of Pete Fornatale. The noted New York DJ, rock historian and author died today at age 66. In an official statement Simon says, “It’s a very sad day for radio. New York has lost one of its most acclaimed and wonderful radio personalities. He did great interviews. He really knew his era and his music. Very sad, he will be missed.” WFUV, the station where Fornatale got his start in 1964, will also host an on-air tribute from 4-8 PM on May 5.
