Railroad Earth’s Andy Goessling & Tim Carbone to Perform with George Kilby Jr.

Railroad Earth’s Andy Goessling and Tim Carbone will perform with their longtime collaborator George Kilby Jr. and his band at Saranac Lake, NY’s The Waterhole on Saturday, May 12. The three musicians have played together on and off since the ’80s and first recorded as a band with legendary drummer Howie Wyeth (Bob Dylan, Joan Baez, Don McLean).

They’ve remained close over the years: As recently as 2011, Kilby and Goessling toured with Tao Seeger. The evening will focus on songs from Kilby’s forthcoming record as well as material from his latest, Let the Melody Live On , which also features Carbone and Goessling.

Howdy y’all –
Andy did an amazing job producing (and playing on) one of the tracks on the new record. Timmy doing some fiddle on “I love you in Brooklyn” today. Here’s a link to a free download, Andy on Mandolin. “Skywalkwalking” from the “Melody…” CD.

George, I’m so excited about this gig coming up at the Waterhole in Saranac. I know that you are going to showcase an awesome rendition of Sunshine of your Love, produced by Andy Goessling. I’ve heard the roughs which were sublime. can’t wait to hear it live. see you there.
