Chris Robinson Brotherhood played a late night JazzFest show at New Orleans’ Tipitina’s on Thursday night. The band, who will release their debut album Big Moon Ritual on June 5, dotted their setlist for first-time covers. During their first set, the Brotherhood busted into their first take on the Grateful Dead’s “Althea.” A bit later in the show, the band paid tribute to their surroundings with their first take on Fats Domino’s “I’m Walkin’” and, later on, the group introduced the new original—from their forthcoming album—“100 Days of Rain.” Chris Robinson Brotherhood will kick off a lengthy summer tour at Milwaukee, WI’s Turner Hall on June 6.
