Mick Taylor to Perform on Fallon

Former Rolling Stones guitarist Mick Taylor will appear as the musical guest on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon this Wednesday. Taylor will join the evening’s guests, including Howard Stern, Brooklyn Decker and Giada De Laurentiis.

As previously reported, Taylor is in New York to perform a week of shows at The Iridium Jazz Club from May 9-14. The final night of the run will mark the launch of “Guitar World & The Iridium Present,” a monthly series highlighting the world’s best guitarists performing with The Les Paul Trio. Taylor will perform with an all-star band featuring Max Middleon (keyboards), Wilbur Bascomb (bass), Bernard “Pretty” Purdie (drums), and Jon Paris (guitar/vocals). For May 14’s Guitar World & The Iridium Present show, Taylor will be joined by Middleton and The Les Paul Trio.

The guitarist is rumored to perform with The Rolling Stones in 2013 as part of their 50th anniversary tour.

Hats off to Mick Taylor..i always thought he was just brilliant..check out his early interviews on utube ..he’s eloquent in manner and speech..concerning his abilities? the Rolling Stones achieved the pinnacle of their success with Mick..arguably Exile is their best and his contributions were invaluable..Ronnie Wood is excellent, though i think his best work was with the Faces..and particularly Rod Stewarts Every Picture Tells a Story and Never a Dull moment albums…but for my money it’s Mick..i was converted after a good listen to Can’t you hear me knocking….prior to that i had Jimmy Page posters on my walls..
