New York City’s Le Poisson Rouge will host a Tonic Reunion Show tomorrow night as part of the 2012 Undead Music Festival Marathon Night. Tonic was a music venue located at 107 Norfolk Street in New York City which opened in the Spring of 1998 and closed in April 2007. Numerous live recordings were recorded at the venue, including Medeski Martin & Woods’ Electric Tonic and Tonic, Marco Benevento’s Live at Tonic, and R. Stevie Moore’s In Wonderland – Live at Tonic. The venue’s final show took place on April 13, 2007 with an evening of improvisation organized by John Zorn.

To celebrate Tonic’s legacy, an all-star lineup of musicians will come together tomorrow night for the reunion show, curated by former Tonic owners Melissa Caruso Scott & John Scott. The lineup includes Heather Greene, Ursa Minor, The Refuseniks with Ted Reichman, John Hollenbeck & Reuben Radding, Billy Martin Improv with Erik Friedlander, Marcus Rojas and G.Calvin Weston, Dougie, Bowne’s Peninsula, Yuka C. Honda’s EUCADEMIX, Jamie Saft’s New, Zion Trio, White Out w/ Bill Nace, Elysian Fields, Sex Mob, Ben Perowsky’s Moodswing Orchestra with TK Wonder and Danny, Blume, Vernon Reid, Jamaaladeen Tacuma & G. Calvin Weston and Mike Wolf.
