Neil Young & Crazy Horse Will Play Red Rocks with Alabama Shakes
Neil Young & Crazy Horse will return to Morrison, CO’s famed Red Rocks on August 5 and 6. Alabama Shakes, who will open for Young on both nights, broke the news with an energetic post on Facebook that read, “A true dream come true. we will have the honor of opening for our hero Neil Young & Crazy Horse at Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Morrison, CO on August 5 and 6. Wowzers. Playing with Neil Young at one of the best venues in the world! Holy Cow!” With the exception of a headlining appearance at San Francisco’s Outside Lands, these are the first Crazy Horse shows Young has announced in support of his new album Americana. The three dates are likely part of a larger tour. Young released a concert film, Red Rocks Live / Friends + Relatives, recorded at the outdoor venue in 2000.
