As previously reported, Mick Jagger hosted Saturday Night Live over the weekend. The Rolling Stones frontman played a number of classic songs, debuted the politically-charged original “Tea Party” and hosted the evening’s festivities. He also participated in a number of comedy sketches. Of particular note, Jagger played Steven Tyler in the sketch ‘So You Think You Can Dance at An Outdoor Music Festival.’ With members of the SNL cast impersonating the likes of Dave Matthews, Carlos Santana and Jewel, Jagger and company judged a dance-off competition to jamband crossover summer songs like The Grateful Dead’s “Touch of Grey,” Dave Matthews Band’s “Ants Marching” and Phish’s “Sample in a Jar” (with some “Smooth” Santana jokes thrown in for good measure).
