Charlestown, RI’s Rhythm & Roots Festival has confirmed its initial 2012 lineup. The 15th annual festival will return to Ninigret Park from August 31-September 2, offering a mix of roots music, dance lessons, family activities, gourmet food and drink, and more. The Pine Leaf Boys will serve as the weekend’s house band while Hugh Laurie & the Copper Bottom Band, David Bromberg Big Band, Carolina Chocolate Drops, The Duhks,
Steve Riley & the Mamou Playboys, Donna the Buffalo and The Gourds are all set to appear. Additional acts will be confirmed in the coming weeks.
