Rolling Stones drummer Charlie Watts has confirmed a series of shows. On June 28, Watts’ The ABC & D of Boogie Woogie project will make their US debut at New York’s Damrosch Park as part of Lincoln Center’s Midsummer Night Swing concert series. In addition to Watts on drumers, the boogie woogie project features German pianist Axel Zwingenberger, vocalist/pianist Ben Waters and jazz bassist Dave Green, who happens to be Watts’s best friend since childhood. The musicians recorded on Waters’ Boogie 4 Stu release, which also featured a mini-Stones reunion on one track.

After appearing at Damrosch Park, the group will perform at New York’s Iridium from June 28-July 2. Though billed under Watts name, Waters’ homepage confirms that the The ABC & D of Boogie Woogie will perform with the drummer throughout the stint. The group will play both 8 and 10 PM sets each night.
