The Band’s Garth Hudson will play a few shows with latter day Band guitarist Jim Weider in June. Hudson will join Jim Weider’s ProJECT PERCoLAToR at New York’s Iridium Jazz Club on June 22 and 23 (they will play two shows each night). The rest of the band will consist of Rodney Holmes (drums), Avi Bortnick (guitar), Steve Lucas (bass) and Jason Crosby (keyboards). Special guests are expected, and Weider points out that “tapers are welcome.” The guitarist will also perform at Iridium with The Les Paul trio on June 25. ProJECT PERCoLAToR’s next gig is slated to take place at New Hope, PA’s New Hope Winery on June 15.
