Bob Weir, Chris Robinson and Jackie Greene paid tribute to legendary guitarist Doc Watson at Asheville, NC’s Thomas Wolfe Auditorium on Tuesday night. Appropriately enough, the performance was part of the trio’s first-ever acoustic tour. After hearing about Watson’s passing, the trio opened their second set with his “Deep River Blues.” Weir described Watson as an “absolutely glorious and amazing human being.”

The rest of the evening’s setlist featured material from Weir, Robinson and Greene’s catalogs as well as select covers. Weir Robinson and Greene will perform at Asheville, NC’s Thomas Wolfe Auditorium this evening.
