Psychedelic group Delicate Steve will release their sophomore album Positive Force on July 12 via Luaka Bop. But fans in the New York-area will have the an opportunity to listen to the record in advance thanks to a unique “record happening.” Delicate Steve has partnered with WWMTH Creative Lab to create a public installation listening event that will run now through June 3.

In ten locations across Brooklyn and Manhattan, playbutton devices have been placed, housing one of Positive Force‘s ten songs. The discreet buttons may be stumbled upon in parks, bridges and piers throughout the area – including a converted NYPD Van that will be serving a special grilled cheese sandwich called the Delicate Cheese. Those interested in taking a spin through the entire Positive Force record, can find a map of all locations at www.delicatesteve.com Listeners can plug their own headphones in to the playbutton device.

Delicate Steve will open for tUnE-yArDs at New York’s Terminal 5 this evening.
