As previously reported, Lettuce will play Wednesday night at Brooklyn Bowl to celebrate the release of their latest studio album, FLY. In addition to that, the band has announced they will be participating in (RED) RUSH, an organization that brings legendary music venues together to help fight AIDS via auctions.

Together, they will auction off 8 concert tickets and 2 hours of bowling for 8 in a reserved lane to Lettuce’s FLY album release party. Proceeds will go to (RED) RUSH in their fight for an AIDS free generation. The auction is currently live and closes on Tuesday, June 5.

In addition to the Brooklyn Bowl show, the band will also hit the road for a short tour that will include a show in Syracuse, along with two opening slots for Dave Matthews Band’s legendary SPAC weekend. The two bands are very familiar with each other, as Lettuce guitarist Eric Krasno and keyboardist Neal Evans have been sitting in with the band since as far back as 2001. Lettuce singer Nigel Hall also appeared on stage with the band during their 2011 Caravan at the Gorge Amphitheater. Lettuce trumpet player Rashawn Ross is the true link between the two, as he is now a full touring member of Dave Matthews Band. While Lettuce has never opened for Dave Matthews Band, the familiarity between the two should lead to notable musical performances.
