Athens, GA’s recently reopened Georgia Theatre has announced its initial fall lineup as well as some August shows. Of particular note, on August 10—the 10th anniversary of Widespread Panic guitarist Michael Houser’s death—the club will host “We Miss You, Mikey,” an evening of music celebrating the life of Michael Houser. The special show will feature a mix of Athens bands and other guests. All proceeds will benefit The Michael Houser Music Fund at Athens Academy.

The Georgia Theatre will also host intimate hometown shows by national touring acts Drive-By Truckers shows (8/23-24) and The Whigs (9/20). Meanwhile, Chris Robinson Brotherhood will play the club’s annual Halloween show. Other notable shows include: Beats Antique (9/26), The Dirty Guv’nahs (9/28), Leftover Salmon (10/9) and Jimmy Herring & Victor Wooten (11/2).
