Longtime Bill Nershi collaborator Scott Law has announced a run of shows with Brokedown In Bakersfield, a band made up of well-known West Coast artists aimed as a spirited tribute to the Bakersfield, California sound. The group first came together at the High Sierra Music Festival in 2011, featuring ALO’s Lebo (pedal steel), Scott Law (guitar), Nicki Bluhm (vocals), The Mother Hips’ Tim Bluhm (vocals/acoustic guitar), and ALO rhythm section partners Steve Adams and Dave Brogan. The musicians aim to showcase the country sound that would have been prevalent in the 1960’s in Southern California.

The band will play seven shows up and down the West Coast, ranging from Seattle to Southern California, and will also welcome Leftover Salmon at their show in Medford, OR where the two will share the stage.

In addition, Scott Law will join Nicki Bluhm and The Gramblers at Rickshaw Shop in San Francisco, CA, as well as a co-bill with Darol Anger at the 40th Annual Indiana Fiddler’s Gathering in Lafayette, IN before hitting the road with Brokedown in Bakersfield.
