Gov’t Mule Covers moe.

Gov’t Mule and moe. will play a few shows together later this month. On June 13, the members of Gov’t Mule previewed one potential collaboration when they busted into a first-time cover of moe.‘s “Opium” at Raleigh, NC’s Raleigh Amphitheater. As previously reported, Dr. John opened the show and members of his band also joined Mule onstage for two songs.

Gov’t Mule will perform at Bama Jam today. They are slated to kick off their mini-tour with moe. at Bangor, ME’s Waterfront Pavilion on June 21. moe. and Gov’t Mule have toured together in the past and their shows have usually been highly-collaborative events.

Govt mule is awesome and have a lot of great songs they don’t need to cover Moe.

It is not a matter of Govt Mule “having to” cover moe. If you know anything about musicians you would know that they dig each other for the most part. These guys enjoy the music they play. If you have been at concerts where the different jam bands get together and “play” with each other it is joyous and exciting thing to watch. Instead of drinking and talking through the music, just LISTEN and WATCH them….good musicians and songwriters have a fantastic time.
