San Francisco psych-rockers The Fresh & Onlys have announced the release of their fourth studio LP, Long Slow Dance, which comes out on September 4 via Mexican Summer. Referred to as “LSD,” the new album was recorded on the same reel-to-reel that Warren Zevon did “Werewolves of London,” with help from engineer Phil Manley (Wooden Shjips, Moon Duo).

“We spent more time recording this than we had on records in the past,” says bassist and co-founder Shayde Sartin. “Phil Manley certainly had a good influence on us in the studio; he’s very meticulous with the kind of sound he’s trying to get for each song, and the record definitely has its own vibe.”

In support of the album, The Fresh & Onlys are also hitting the road for a series of West Coast dates in September. The group will also perform at Phono Del Sol in San Francisco on July 21 as well as the Woodsist Fest in Big Sur on August 5.
