Gov’t Mule and moe. Move Hartford, CT Show

Mule covering moe.

Due to unforeseen production elements, Gov’t Mule and moe. have moved their June 24 performance to Wallingford, CT’s Oakdale Theatre. The joint appearance was originally slated to take place at Hartford, CT’s Scion Festival Stage at Comcast Theatre. All tickets will remain General Admission. Previously purchased tickets to the Scion Festival Stage show will be honored at the Oakdale show and all seats are on a first come first serve basis. Refunds are available at point of purchase. As previously reported, Gov’t Mule previewed their upcoming run with moe. by covering “Opium” last week.

“Unforseen elements” = “Couldn’t sell enough tickets”

I don’t know about that. They weren’t playing the main stage at the Meadows (Comcast Theatre). They were playing the secondary stage, the Scion Festival Stage. So the whole pavillion would have been closed. I’d think it would be more expensive to open the Oakdale than just opening the gates to the Comcast facility. GA at the Oakdale? Unless they’re putting the stage up in the lobby of the Oakdale instead of using the theater proper, I don’t see how this makes financial sense for the promoter.
