The Barr Brothers Release "Black Dog" Cover

While in Bourges, France this past April, Montreal-based folk outfit The Barr Brothers decided to record a short instrumental rendition of Led Zeppelin’s “Black Dog.” Recorded while rehearsing for some shows in a theatre that was built in the 1850’s, the group set up some mics up in the room (listen for the “old theatre” sound) and recorded the tune in a single take with fellow Montrealer Miles Perkin on upright bass.

The Barr bros have paid their dues in full. There are not many musicians that have sacrificed what they have purely because if they chose another road, they would be fighting nature. Its great to see these past few years have begun to give back to them what they’ve earned.
