Deer Tick headlined a free show in Brooklyn, NY’s Red Hook park as part of the SummerStage concert series last night. Singer/songwriter Jonny Corndawg opened the show with his own Almond Brothers Band. During their set, Deer Tick frontman John J. McCauley joined Corndawg onstage for Middle Brother’s eponymous song “Middle Brother.” Corndawg wrote and recorded the song for the Middle Brother project, which features McCauley, Dawes’ Taylor Goldsmith and Delta Spirit’s Matt Vasquez. Corndawg will open for Infamous Stringdusters at Brooklyn, NY’s Brooklyn Bowl this evening while McCauley will perform with his Diamond Rugs supergroup at Brooklyn, NY’s Bell House. Deer Tick will also perform at Quincy, CA’s High Sierra Music Festival in early July.
