Dark Star Orchestra Moves Mish Show Due to Colorado Fires

Dark Star Orchestra have moved their previously scheduled June 29 concert at Bellvue, CO’s Mishawaka Amphitheatre due to the High Park Fire. The show will now take place at Longmont, CO’s The Left Hand Brewing Company and will now be a Dark Star & Cold Brews benefit concert. Proceeds from the ticket sales, beer sales, food sales, and merchandise sales will benefit the Northern Colorado Chapter of the Red Cross and the Rist Canyon Volunteer Fire Department. The performance is now slated to stat at 7pm.

In a statement the band says, “DSO thanks Ft. Collins based Shaped Music and Left Hand Brewing Company who were able to assist on very short notice after Fire officials determined Wednesday, that concerts could not be held this weekend at the Mishawaka Amphitheater.”

Tickets will be $35 in advance and at the door and are available at www.lefthandbrewing.com
and InTicketing until June 29 after which tickets will only be sold at the door. Tickets already purchased for the Mishawaka event will be honored at the new location. Any tickets sold that fans wish to have refunded, will be handled by the Mishawaka box office at info@themishawaka.com. Left Hand Brewing is soliciting the support of the community to help make this event a success. For sponsorship opportunities, donations, or questions about the event, please contact Joshua Goldberg

Be even better if they donated proceeds to help in the fire relief effort.

Red Cross and Rist Canyon FD are a main part of the effort along with the hotshots and volunteers from out of state.

Burning-beard: distance isn’t much of an excuse for not donating, so I don’t think they should feel any pressure to donate to fire relief because they are struck by the proximity. Regardless, it would be a nice touch.

As far as I know (I’m in the opening band, thunk) tix are $35 and everything raised goes to the charity. That’s what I’m expecting, but then maybe they need to cover their expenses as a baseline. I know we are donating everything.
