Elvis Costello has announced a series of California solo shows as well as several performances with his band, The Imposters. The solo tour has been dubbed “2054 – The Centenary Show,” which begs for an explanation. Of the title, Costello says, “This show may contain any song I’ve written… Some you will know already, some are the hits of tomorrow. I’m playing this show now in the unlikely event that I’m not around to perform the songs on the appointed date. Don’t be late, we’re going to have a big time.”

In addition to the mysterious solo series, Costello has announced two dates in September: Milwaukee’s BMO Harris Pavilion on September 15 and Chicago’s Riot Fest on September 16.
