Phish continued their 2012 Summer Tour last night at Cincinnati, OH’s Riverbend Music Center. Once again, the first set featured a major bust-out, in the form of “Shaggy Dog,” which had not been performed since October 29, 1995 (574 shows). The set also saw the return of Traffic’s “Light Up or Leave Me Alone” for the first time since June 14, 2011 (33 shows), as well as “Buffalo Bill” for the first time since August 17, 2011 (17 shows).

Guitarist Trey Anastasio was particularly chatty during the first set, commenting after drummer Jon Fishman botched the start of both “Poor Heart” and “Moma Dance.” He then suggested that the band start a tune that began with drums, proceeding to kick off the fan-favourite “Llama.” Anastasio later quizzed the crowd on lighting director Chris Kuroda’s favorite Phish song, before closing out the set with “David Bowie.”

The second set saw the first “Guelah Payprus” since August 15, 2011, in addition to an improvisational highlight of the tour in the form of a 14-minute “Twist” sound quest. For the encore, the band returned “Fluffhead” to the closing slot for the first time since November 3, 1990 (1,124 shows).

Phish returns to the stage at the First Niagara Pavilion in Burgettstown, PA tonight.
