moe. and Gov’t Mule continued their co-headlining mini-tour together last night at The Stone Pony in Asbury Park, NJ. As with the previous nights, collaborations took place with members of both bands appearing during each other’s sets. During Gov’t Mule’s set percussionist Jim Loughlin joined in on “Sco-Mule,” while the rest of the members of moe.—including drummer Vinnie Amico, bassist Rob Derhak, guitarists Chuck Garvey and Al Schnier—appeared for the second encore, which included a tribute to Levon Helm with “The Weight” as well as a take on the Grateful Dead’s “Sugaree.”
The collaborations continued during moe.‘s set, when the band welcomed Mule guitarist Warren Haynes to the stage to join in on the Wormwood track “Shoot First.”
