The Newport Folk Festival has announced the final additions to the lineup for this year’s festival, set to take place July 27-29 at the picturesque Fort Adams State Park in Newport, RI. In an effort to continue the Newport Folk Festival’s legacy of melding musical legends with the new voices of folk, Del McCoury and Pete Seger’s grandson Tao Rodriguez Seeger have been added to the lineup as special guests of Preservation Hall Jazz Band.

The festival has also added The Martin Busking Series, presented by Martin Guitars. The series welcomes two promising, local, up-and-coming musicians, Jonah Tolchin and GraveRobbers, to the grounds of Newport, who will appear both on stage and periodically throughout the grounds during the weekend to represent the impromptu nature of the art of “busking.”
