Jim Subs for Vinnie with moe.

As previously reported, moe. drummer Vinnie Amico will miss all the band’s shows through this coming Tuesday for health reasons. While no official statement has been given, the drummer is believed to have Mono. Last night, moe. percussionist Jim Loughlin switched roles and subbed for Amico during the band’s performance at Bethlehem, PA’s MusikFest Cafe. Loughlin actually served as moe.‘s drummer from late 1992-mid 1995 before leaving the band. He returned tin 1999 as the band’s percussionist and grew into something of a multi-instrumentalist .
During last night’s show, the band performed material from throughout its career, with guitarist Al Schnier filling out some of Loughlin’s percussion color flourishes on his Wurlitzer. Also of note, the band closed its first set with the early period song “Don’t Fuck With Flo.”
moe. will return to Bethlehem, PA this evening.
