The String Cheese Incident opened their summer tour at Rothbury, MI’s Electric Forest on Friday night. For the first of their three shows at the festival, String Cheese Incident kicked things off with an 11-minute “Smile.”

Later in their first set, String Cheese debuted a new original song entitled “Can’t Wait Another Day,” which the band recorded for their first studio album since 2005. The song was released as an online single in June.In addition, the group welcomed out Thievery Corporation’s horn section of Frank Mitchell, Jr. (tenor saxophone) and Dave Finnell (trumpet) for “Valley of the Jig.” String Cheese also teased the theme from Sesame Street for the first time since their New Year’s Eve 2000 show during “Rhythm of the Road.”

String Cheese Incident will play another set at Electric Forest this evening.
