Bonus Joel Cummins with Tiny Boxes
As previously reported, Umphrey’s McGee headlined Asbury Park, NJ’s Summer Stage on Sunday night. After the show, UM keyboardist Joel Cummins moved inside to sit in with longtime Umphrey’s McGee associates Tiny Boxes at the Stone Pony’s indoor stage. Cummins emerged three songs into Tiny Boxes’ set for “French Grass” and remained onstage for “Hey Hey,” an area-appropriate cover of Bruce Springsteen’s “10th Ave. Freeze Out” and “Tiny Faces.” James McCaffrey and Randy Preston, both of the local Jersey band Karmic Juggernaut, also joined Tiny Boxes onstage. Tiny Boxes will perform at Winston-Salem, NC’s Ten O One Sports Club on July 11.
