In an era when many magazines are falling by the wayside, Relix will celebrate its 40th anniversary as an independent music resource in 2013. Yesterday, publisher Peter Shapiro announced Relix’s new Timeless Subscription program. As he explained, “Too many of my friends tell me that their Relix subscription lapsed and, while they wanted to renew it, they didn’t want to deal.” In response, Relix’s new offer allows somebody to subscribe or renew and be locked in for the low rate of $20 per year without having to worry about remembering to renew (with the ability to cancel at anytime.) Shapiro adds, “We are excited to celebrate July 4th with something cool and we think being able to subscribe to Relix once and then you get to decide when to turn the subscription off is pretty cool, especially because you couldn’t do that before and re-subscribing every year is a drag. We hope you will Join Us for this new way to enjoy Relix.”

Even folks who started their subscription earlier this year can sign on, with the new sub period beginning when their current one ends. The full details can be found here (be sure to enter the promo code TIMELESS).
