Noted guitarist Stanley Jordan sat in with Umphrey’s McGee at Peoria, IL’s CEFCU Center Stage last night. The jazz guitarist emerged near the end of the band’s first set for “Liquid” and remained onstage as the song segued into a freeform “Jazz Odyssey” segment and “40’s Theme.” Later in the night, Jordan joined Umphrey’s McGee for a cover of The Rolling Stones’ “Can’t You Hear Me Knocking,” and he returned one final time at the end of the show for “Hajimemashite.”

Jordan first performed with Umphrey’s McGee at Chicago’s Auditorium Theatre on December 30, 2008. At that show, the guitarist joined Umphrey’s McGee for “40’s Theme,” “Great American” and “Bright Lights.” He will appear with Umphrey’s McGee at both moe.down and sUMmer School in August.
