Edward Sharpe Adds Benefit Show, Invites Fans to Help Create New Video
Recent Relix cover subjects Edward Sharpe & The Magnetic Zeros have added a show with Aaron Embry at Ojai, CA’s Libbey Bowl on September 6. All proceeds from the event will benefit the school.The Ojai Valley Community Nursey School
“We are really excited to play in Ojai, a place that hosted the making of our last album,” said frontman Alex Ebert. “What a wonderful thing to be able to give back to this special community with this benefit concert.”“I adore this little school and believe there is a great need for us in the community,” said Tracey Beisel of The Ojai Valley Community Nursery School. “My children attended this school 15 years ago and formed friendships that will last a lifetime. We have a dedicated staff who has often worked for no pay to make sure this school survives.”
In related news, Edward Sharpe & The Magnetic Zeros have invited their fans to make the band’s next official music video for any song on their album Here. Entries must be submitted before August 31st and the overall winner (as chosen by Edward Sharpe & The Magnetic Zeros and Genero) will receive $5,000. The two runner ups will receive $1,000 each.
