Jazz guitar guru Stanley Jordan continued to make his rounds sitting in with acts on the jamband scene last night when he joined String Cheese Incident on several tunes at the Pepsi Amphitheater in Flagstaff, AZ. Jordan emerged midway through the first set on “Smile,” and returned again in the second for a take on the fan-favorite “Jellyfish” as well as John Coltrane’s “Impressions.” Apparently Jordan was enjoying himself quite a bit, as he also returned for the double encore of “The Bridge” along with the bluegrass classic “Rollin’ In My Sweet Baby’s Arms.”

Earlier this summer, Jordan sat-in on three consecutive Dave Matthews Band shows and also joined Umphrey’s McGee at Peoria, IL’s CEFCU Center Stage. The guitarist has also been confirmed as a special guest at Umphrey’s McGee’s sUMmer school as well as at moe.down.
