Passion Pit Cancels Summer Dates

Passion Pit have canceled a series of July dates. In a statement, band principal Michael Angelakos says, “On behalf of the band and myself, I would like to greatly apologize for the show cancellations. In order for me to ensure that there will be no further disruptions, I am going to take the time to work on improving my mental health. For now, I’d like to thank all of our fans for their understanding. I hope to see all of you very soon in a much different light. The tour page on our website currently reflects all upcoming tour dates.” The electro-pop group was slated to perform Nashville, TN this evening.

July 17 Knoxville, TN—Valarium

July 19 Charlotte, NC—The Fillmore

July 20 Dover, DE—Firefly Music Festival

Jul 20 Norfok, VA—The Norva

July 23 New York, NY—Apollo Theater

Yea, those people are definitely not missing much. Mental health? Come on man. I get that it can be hard, but look at the big picture. You’re in a band that travels the country.

They made a lot of people mad here in Cincinnati when they canceled their Bunbury set the day of the show. So you’re here in town and scheduled to play before the headliner and you mentally can’t handle it? These guys aren’t cool enough to be acting like burned out legends.
