The Heavy Pets Announce Tour Dates

The Heavy Pets have announced a run of tour dates taking place in August and September. The dates kick off on August 1 with a five show run in Colorado highlighted by an appearance at the LoHi Music Festival in Denver, a benefit for the town of Live Oak at the Spirit of Suwannee Music Park. Additional stops include Phish after-parties in Alabama and Georgia, three nights with Greenhouse Lounge in their home state of Florida, and a run up and down the coast anchored by sets at the Savannah Craft Beer Festival, Catskill Chill, Wormtown Music Festival and The Werk Out.

This run also marks the introduction of bassist Tony D’Amato, longtime friend of the Pets and band mate of drummer Jamie Newitt in the Philadelphia-based jazz-fusion act, Spontaneous Underground. Former bassist Justin Carney has left the band to pursue other interests.

“We are very excited to welcome Tony to the family. I have been a fan of his since my first time seeing SpUn, and look forward to the deeply funky impact he will have on this band,” says guitarist Jeff Lloyd. See below for the full list of dates.
