Vampire Weekend’s Chris Tomson, Donna Jean Godchaux and The Hold Steady’s Craig Finn and Tad Kubler have joined the lineup for Move Me Brightly: Celebrating Jerry Garcia’s 70th Birthday. As previously reported, the multi-band, multi-genre tribute to Garcia will take place at Bob Weir’s Marin County TRI Studios on Friday, August 3. Other recent additions include: Jim Lauderdale and Sam Cohen and Josh Kaufman of The Yellowbirds. Tomson is an outspoken jamband fan who even wore a Phish t-shirt on Saturday Night Live. Cohen and Kaufman recently performed with Weir at TRI during a HeadCount Benefit.

Move Me Brightly’s previously confirmed lineup includes Mike Gordon (Phish), Joe Russo (Furthur), Lukas Nelson, Neal Casal (Chris Robinson Brotherhood/Ryan Adams & The Cardinals), Jeff Chimenti (Furthur), Cass McCombs, Jonathan Wilson and Harper Simon. The tribute concert will be streamed in high-definition via www.TRIStudios.com and Yahoo! Music on Friday, August 3, beginning at 6:30 p.m. PST.

The broadcast also will include rare Grateful Dead concert footage and video tributes given by Garcia’s peers, including Mickey Hart, David Hidalgo (Los Lobos), Bill Kreutzmann, Carlos Santana, Dave Schools, Keller Williams, 7 Walkers with Bobby Keys and others. David Crosby’s moving tribute, “’Cause I’m Missing Him Tonight,” penned specifically for the occasion, will be read during the show. Actor Luke Wilson will emcee the event, and basketball star Bill Walton will talk during the webcast.
