A special show took place last Wednesday, July 18, at Music City Roots in Nashville, TN, featuring an all-star cast of musicians including Jim Lauderdale, Rev. Jeff Mosier and special guest Col. Bruce Hampton. The show was hosted in the venue’s Loveless Barn with a series of four-song sets and brief q&a sessions. Jim Lauderdale opened the show, followed shortly after by a set from Jeff Mosier. Col. Bruce then performed a short set with songs including “Arkansas,” “Right Now,” “Susan T.” and “Basically Frightened.” The rest of the evening featured sets by The Mosier Brothers, The Ghent Legacy, and Rev. Jeff Mosier & Friends. As is the tradition at Music City Roots, the show ended with “The Loveless Jam”—featuring all of the musicians from the night on a rendition of Cream’s “I’m So Glad” (watch the video here).
