To honor the demolition of South Bend, IN’s Club 23 earlier this week, Umphrey’s McGee have released their oldest official audio to date. Recorded at the venue on January 21, 1998, the audio features the first-ever performance of “Kimble,” recorded while the band was going under the moniker Fat Tony. According to the band, the audio was recorded “onto a cheap ass cassette player via an 8 channel powered Crate mixer.” Listen below (and click here to check out the group’s 2005 Relix cover story).
