Santana and Bill Evans Sit in with The Allman Brothers Band

Derek and Warren with Santana on Friday

The Allman Brothers Band’s co-headlining tour with Santana rolled into Hartford, CT’s The Comcast Theatre last night. During The Allman Brothers Band’s show-closing set, guitarist Carlos Santana and saxophonist Bill Evans emerged for “All Along The Watchtower.” They remained onstage as the song segued into an extended jam and climaxed with the R&B classic “Ain’t No Love in the Heart of the City.”

On Friday night, Santana and the ABB played Saratoga Springs, NY’s Saratoga Springs Performing Arts Center. Santana closed that show and invited ABB guitarists Warren Haynes and Derek Trucks out for a few songs, including Cream’s “Sunshine of Your Love” and Bob Marley’s “Exodus.”

The groups’ tour will come to a close in Columbia, MD on Monday.

This tour doesn’t seem as it has been as exciting as the Allmans/Panic co-headlining tour in 2010…

I didn’t even think about that. WordPress itself does not have a built in quoting capability.[quote comment=“4961”]No; that’s me. And the only way I avoid hypocrisy is by not having a blog at all.
