In celebration of his 75th birthday, composer Philip Glass will be the subject of a new remix project featuring contributions from critically acclaimed artists including Beck, Tyondai Braxton, Amon Tobin, Cornelius, Dan Deacon, Johann Johannsson, Nosaj Thing, Memory Tapes, Silver Alert and many others. According to a release, the idea for the record came together during a conversation between Glass and his friend and new collaborator Beck, who then recruited produced by Hector Castillo (David Bowie, Björk, Lou Reed).

REWORK: Philip Glass remixed comes out on October 23 via Orange Mountain Music.

The remix project joins in the celebration of Glass’ 75th birthday season, which features performances and events across the globe encompassing every facet of the composer’s decades-long career as a preeminent American composer—opera, chamber music, orchestra music, dance, theatre works and more.
