Golden-voiced fiddle queen Sara Watkins has had a busy summer supporting her new solo album, Sun Midnight Sun, performing at festivals and now hitting the road with fellow Newport Folk 2012 performer Jackson Browne. On Thursday, August 2 Sara will kick off a weekend of New York City appearances with a special show of her own at The Living Room, an intimate venue in downtown New York City.

Watkins will take the stage at 6 PM, and her set will also be recorded for later broadcast on SiriusXM Radio’s “From The Living Room to The Loft” series, which airs on their acoustic singer-songwriter channel The Coffee House every Sunday at 7 PM. After this special show Sara will remain in NYC to open for Browne at his two-night stand at the Beacon Theatre, and then together they’ll set out for a massive cross-country tour that will last through mid-November.
