Yonder Enlists Phil Lesh and Jon Graboff, Will Perform Jerry Sets at String Summit

Yonder performs “Althea” at High Sierra 2011

Last night Yonder Mountain String Band performed the second of two shows at Phil Lesh’s Terrapin Crossroads. Once again Lesh came out with the group during set two, but this time, another guest joined in as well. Jon Graboff, fresh off his appearance at the Move Me Brightly event at Bob Weir’s TRI Studios also appeared. Starting with “Touch of Grey” the pair augmented Yonder for most of the set including takes on ”Althea,” “Pride of Cucamonga,” “Fingerprint,” “Years with Rose” and “Shakedown Street.”

Next weekend Yonder Mountain String Band will host the Northwest String Summit at Horning’s Hideout in North Plains, Oregon where the group has announced they will perform some sets in honor of Jerry Garcia.
